Open CIT for the documented touch test
Open the stock Phone app and enter *#*#6484#*#* or *#*#64663#*#*. You do not need to press the call button.
Xiaomi documents these codes in the context of a drifting or unresponsive touchscreen. If neither code works, check the official support instructions for your exact model and software version instead of trying malformed or undocumented variants.
Run the touchscreen check
In CIT, open the touchscreen test. Follow the on-screen grid or drawing instructions and check whether every required area responds.
A gap can show that one area did not register during the test. It does not by itself identify the cause. A screen protector, moisture, damage, a replacement display, charging interference, software, or the touch hardware can require separate investigation.
Scope and limits
